Описание: Welcome to this all levels, beginner friendly yoga sequence, specially designed for you in the season of Winter.

Winter is energetically associated with the element of water, a nourishing and essential substance for life.

With a balanced water element, you will move smoothly through winter with strength, courage and will power, and with an alignment to your purpose or destiny.

The water element stores much of your reserve of energy so rest is important over winter.

This being said, maintaining an appropriate balance of activity and rest is important to the health of the water element and helpful to our psyche and wellbeing.

A mindful balance of Fire (yang, activity, joy) and Water (yin, stillness, introspection) is excellent for our health over winter. Winter is a good time for internal work such as meditation, yoga, journalling, breathwork and dream work.

At the same time, allow time to seek connection with others, enjoy dinner with friends, outdoor winter activities and simple relaxed gatherings with others. Be mindful not to over extend yourself.

The kidneys and bladder both play an important role in fluid retention and are the organ systems that belong to the water element. In Chinese medicine theory, the kidneys are the storehouse of our vital energy, and the bladder is compared to a reservoir where the waters of the body collect.

Winter is the perfect opportunity to focus on the health of the kidneys and bladder. Slow down, get plenty of rest, eat well, choosing in-season foods, and drink lots of fluids, and develop a wellness routine for winter. Including regular yoga practise in your routine is ideal!

Also, take care of the associated acupuncture meridians of the kidney and urinary bladder acupuncture meridians. Important points along these channels are feet, knees, low back and neck. Keep these areas warm to help maintain the integrity of the channels and keep you physically, mentally and spiritually well.
