Eyup. Instantaneous offense, extended field effect, consistent debuffs, spread damage that doesn't incur the AoE penalty, sync acceleration, recovery support, every attack is a Sure Crit... the very definition of a one man army. There isn't much I can say that hasn't been said already. Red deserves his praise.
I suppose there is the Ash v. Red debacle if you only have enough gems to pity one of them. After playing Ash (spoilers) I want to say Red offers a smidge more value. Ash has cheap team compositions and he off-types as easily as Red, even without Terrain, but I like how diverse Red's team compositions can be. The B Thunderbolt argument doesn't hold much water because Ash needs three turns to get there. Red can play for proactive ramping and equal the damage with his nuke.
Red has some utility with Thunder Shock Staggering 4 but the opportunity cost of not using B Volt Tackle is so massive it's just not worth it. That's mostly stuff for Gauntlet.

[0:58] - Solo
I don't do runs above 2000 points and solo runs out of principle. Like, the game is about 3v3 combat and handicapping yourself feels like a dick measuring contest. That said, a solo lets me show Red's perks to their fullest. I thought about bringing Volkner to ease Terrain set-up, but Red is so self-sufficient his teammates literally don't matter. Red can also solo 2k off-type, but I think the point is made here.
[2:37] - Budgety partners
At full investment Red nukes with Haymaker, Cakewalk and Static Shock. Haymaker is free, so it's more about setting up the other two. Red can debuff Spe by one stage with Shocking Slowdown 9, but it's a tad slow for first sync clears. There are many capable Spe debuffers, most notable of which is Palentine's Serena who can also spread Paralysis to activate Red's debuffs.
Grant is a very consistent Cakewalk enabler. Rock Tomb with Acc+5 guarantees a Spe debuff, and if you grid Trip Up 6 you have a 70% chance to proc an additional Spe debuff. I brought BP Clemont as defensive backbone. Clemont helps Red with Screech debuffs and Spark Hostile Environment 1 so Red is not obligated to MAX bomb to spread Paralysis. That way, he can save it until post-sync to one shot a target. Clemont also has Electrorepulsion 3 and Shock Recovery 1, so he makes a very cohesive tank for Red. Red needs 0 offensive support so he can afford supports like Clemont.
[5:07] - M'lady Squad (Dual Strike)
Electric Terrain team compositions were barely above Hail honestly. Their issue was that all Electric-type Strikers need some measure of offensive Support, and Volkner is not winning any awards for his offensive efficiency. You can imagine how much the archetype improved with Red. Your Support can fully dedicate themselves to your second Striker because Red doesn't need help. You could bring Classic Giovanni and 6*EX Hau or something like that.
Red here enables Static Shock and debuffs for N. Red can also ramp by using a MAX move at the start of a turn and follow it up with a quad-queue.
I tried many different sequences between attacking Turn 1 or taking advantage of Hilbert's Head Start 1, but really keeping it simple works best, even if I cannot maximize Red's MAX move damage as well as I would like. I mean, I could pick the Half Ally HP option so Hilbert buffs Atk faster, but I'd have to reset until Drake doesn't use Earthquake or Bulldoze.
[6:57] - DPS
You can play Red with a 6*EX Support buff and MAX move post-sync to delete center. Same difference as deleting center with Red's nuke, except that it results in a stronger B Volt Tackle. This mode works well with 1/5 Red too.
Classic Elesa is a good enabler here because she spreads AoE Paralysis in one turn and debuffs center to make it squishier. You could replicate the effect with Tech Parasect. Electric Terrain also boosts Sonia's sync which is pretty cute.
[9:14] - Ramping
Red works pretty well in ramp archetypes, but you want to grid MAX Conductivity so you don't waste a turn clicking Electric Terrain. SS Elesa and SS Steven give an RNG-free ramp which is pretty rare to see.
