Weekly Battle Rally #13: Dragon Upgrade, 9775 Medals | Pokémon Masters EX

Описание: Neat run! I got to show many Dragon-types put in work. Totally unrelated tip: DeNA generally updates the game around the 28th with a preference for Mondays and Thursdays. They've been very consistent with that pattern so deviations are exceptions.

[0:00] - Da Freebie
I believe it's the first time I roll the Dragon Upgrade. Dragon-types are renown for their strength. DeNA has attempted to dethrone SS Serena since her introduction - to no avail. What follows are many, many powerful Dragon-type Strikers. I happened to roll a Strike-heavy seed so I had the opportunity to use many Dragon-types in their element.

[0:10] - Area 1: Strike + Tech
This start needs another Area to determine the seed, and Strike + Tech repeats in both outcomes. I split my double bonuses to open room for the Dragon Upgrade. The shop also had a couple good Upgrades in the Atk Upgrade and the Spe Upgrade. The Atk Upgrade is preferable because you always want to raise the Atk/Sp.Atk of your damage dealers regardless of scenario, where the Spe Upgrade can be construed as an additional burden.

SS Red go wheeee with all the Head Starts I've been handing out. I suppose I could've gone with Anniversary Raihan to cast Sun, but the current set-up is ultra overkill already.

[1:09] - Da Seed
Strike boosts all over the place. This is a great seed for Field + Strike pairs because the bonus repeats thrice, but I've been weird with my Strike Cakes so I can't double boost that specific pairing much.

[1:14] - Area 2: Strike + Support
This boost repeats later on, and I do have SS Serena to activate the Dragon Upgrade. This is SC Guzma and SC Jasmine's BC, which has a centermon with Agile Entry 6. I went with Penny to steal those buffs. I ended up bringing Zerena down here because my other Strike + Support pair is NC Blue, and he can enable anyone later on. Zerena's overkill shocked me but that's the Atk Upgrade for you.

[2:15] - Area 3: Strike + Field
Bug-weak Lucian is very annoying for Special Strikers which dissuaded me from bringing Mix Red. In hindsight NC Nate was better saved for Area 9 to see if I could carry him over for Area 10, but eh, deleting the stage with B Outrage got a chuckle out of me.

[3:02] - Area 4: Tech + Sprint
I can't double boost this combo. This is Summer Tate and Summer Liza's BC. Center has Healthy Advantage while the sidemons have Wise Entry x2. I was kinda beating myself over spending Variety Lance early on, but I realized Battle Tower Leon can neutralize Healthy Advantage with Will-O-Wisp so a Steel-type pair can manage the centermon. Either way, Burn ended up being moot because Riley ultra-overkilled center.

[4:21] - Area 5: Strike + Support
NC Blue can spread Paralysis so I thought it'd be a cute opportunity to run SS Cynthia. Classic Giovanni allows Blue to save his TM for next Area. Giovanni also activates the Atk Upgrade.

[5:35] - Area 6: Strike + Field
Dragon-weak CS in a Dragon Upgrade run ridden with Strikers. Lance you silly goose. You buffoon. I nuked with Zinnia because her TM activates the Atk Upgrade.

[6:44] - Area 7: Support + Sprint
DeNA please release another Sprint pair with Support EX so I can stop doing this Paulo sequence. It could be Nemona idc anymore. I can't activate the Dragon Upgrade under a Triple Boost, but the Atk Upgrade is enough to have Paulo solo Strike with all the Support EX buffs.

[8:53] - Area 8: Strike + Tech
The NC Red clear I always do, but with a twist! I could justify Drasna due to the Poison weakness. Unfortunately Drasna's Poison overlaps with NC Red's Freezes, but Skyla's Flinches delay damage well enough so I took the risk. This team can't activate the Atk Upgrade, but Drasna's added pressure made up for that.

[10:28] - Area 9: Strike + Field
The power of whaling. I barely had Dragon Strikers left, whoops. I went with Lance because Potion could grant sustain for Area 10.

[11:44] - Area 10: Strike + Sprint
NC Silver has good coverage into all UBs so I wasn't terribly concerned about who would I get, though I should've saved NC Nate to err on the side of caution. By now my only available Dragon Upgrade boosts were Clair, SS Leon, Cyrus, Lance and Strike Dragonite. Yeeeeah, I should've planned better. I gave Clair a quick go for Johto Passion increments. Clair surprisingly tanks 2 Ancient Powers, but SS Leon's ramps help more. I went with Nemona for cohesive ramping just to shake up the Emmet/Rei clears I normally do.
