Thalipeeth is spiced multigrain flatbread which is not just delicious but also very nutritious and healthy. This recipe is very popular in Maharashtra and North Karnataka region. Generally eaten for breakfast this can also be eaten for lunch or dinner.
Notes:
I have used jowar, besan, and wheat flours but you can also add other flours like ragi or rice flour
You can dry roast the grains and grind them to prepare the flour mix. You can store this flour mix, called bhajnee, for future use
Serve it hot with curd and pickle
Ingredients:
Jowar Flour 1 cup
Gram Flour/Besan 1/2 cup
Wheat Flour 1/4 cup
Onion 1/2 finely chopped
Green Chilli 1
Curry Leaves 8-10 finely chopped
Coriander Leaves 1/4 finely chopped
Jeera/Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
Carom Seeds/Ajwain 1/2 tsp
Sesame Seed/Til 4-5 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Oil 4-5 tbsp
Coriander Powder 1 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
