Child Pose is one of the resting postures in Yoga but with normal practice requires not only getting onto a mat but compressing the calf and bacjk of the thigh together as you sit onto your heels before bending forward.
This is often very difficult to do for those with tight knees. Using a chair with the aid of blocks or a couple of hard cover books can help you start to find the benefits of this relaxing pose.
