This is the fourth part of the Hooked and Locked Crochet Along, or in short the HAL CAL, about the interlocking crochet technique. In this video of the practice piece I show how to crochet rows 2a and 2b. After row 1 it gets much easier and you can go really fast.
In the previous video’s I gave a short introduction about this CAL, how to do the setup and how to do row 1 with a weaving-through technique.
Interlocking crochet is a technique that works with 2 layers of filet crochet, that get interwoven through each other during crocheting, which makes nice patterns, that sometimes look totally different on the other side.
For this practice piece, and for the large blanket, I used Alize Cotton Gold.
On my website you can find more information and also an extensive tutorial with a lot of pictures. Go to https://www.thecraftsteacher.com.
In the next video I show how to crochet row 3 of this practice piece, and I give instructions for the rest of the practice piece and how to end it.
