RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
150 gms. freshly sprouted fenugreek, chopped
5 medium sized onions, chopped
1 mug curds
11/2 tbs. Bengal gram powder
5 tbs. oil
1 green chilli
piece of red chilli
1tsp. ginger - garlic paste
1tsp. green chilli paste
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp. cumin seeds
Few curry leaves
Sprig of coriander
salt to taste
METHOD
Heat oil and add a piece of red chilli followed by mustard and cumin seeds. When they crackle, add curry leaves, green chilli, onions, ginger-garlic paste and salt. Mix, cover and pour over the lid. Cook till onions turn translucent. Add turmeric, saute' and fenugreek leaves. Cover and pour water over the lid. cook till oil appears on sides of the vessel. Add bengal gram, saute' for a minute and add curds. Cook till you get aroma of fenugreek. Add coriander leaves. Serve hot with Chapati.
