Homemade Buttermilk recipe! 🥤
Saunf (Fennel Seeds) Ki Chanch
Ingredients
1½ dessert spoon curd ½ tsp. fennel seeds, crushed
⅙ tsp. black salt
Method
To make buttermilk, whip curds, add some cold water and set aside.
In a glass add black salt and fennel seeds. Pour the butter milk, stir and garnish with fennel seeds. Serve cold.
Kheere (cucumber) ki Chanch
Ingredients
1 ½ dessert spoon curd juice of half cucumber
Slice of cucumber sprig of mint
⅙ tsp. black salt
Method
In a glass, add black salt and juice of cucumber, pour whipped curds, add some cold water. Garnish with a slice of cucumber and sprig of mint leaves.
Sabje ki Chanch
Ingredients
1 ½ dessert spoon curd ⅙ tsp. black salt
1 tsp. sabja
Method
Soak sabja in water for half an hour. In a glass, add black salt and pour buttermilk and half of sabja. Stir and garnish with sabja and serve cold.
Nutrition
Curd provides almost all nutrients. It is very rich in minerals, B vitamins, protein and trace elements. It is an excellent probiotic, rich in lactobacillus. This aids digestion and relieves any digestive problems. Rich in calcium and phosphorus. People with lactose intolerance cannot drink milk may take curds as the lactose is broken down during fermentation.
Fennel seeds contain Vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, potassium & manganese. Rich in antioxidants and fibre. Aids in digestion and has antacid properties.
Sabja is rich in iron, calcium and magnesium. It contains soluble fibre and several antioxidants.
