RUSHING! Today we talk about how rushing keeps us in a state of fight or flight more often throughout the day and less time in our rest and digest state.
The sympathetic nervous system is there for us to be able to run from a threat and protect ourselves. We make “stress hormones” in this state. If we are under threat, this is super helpful! If we are not…not so helpful.
The parasympathetic nervous system is our rest and digest aspect of ourselves. This state is where we repair, recover, and have mental capacity for complex tasks. We WANT to spend the right amount of time in this state. And rushing robs us of the necessary time to be in our parasympathetic vibe!
