FB MARKETPLACE MISTAKE! Part 4 - Back on the budget build, after the transom repair, it was time to start prepping for paint.
I started out with 320 grit sand paper and it didn't scratch the surface, moved to 240 and made a little more progress but landed at 120. Usually you wouldn't drop that far down to topside paint but I didn't have any other choice with the poor brush application of the previous coating.
After the entire hull was sanded with 120 grit sandpaper using the dustless Mirka and shop-vac, blew off the boat with compressed air, the cap rail was taped off and then the entire boat wiped down with Pettit 120 Brushing Thinner to remove any remaining residue.

3:22 - Blowing off the hull with compressor
3:44 - Taping off the cap rail
4:32 - Solvent wiping the hull with Pettit 120 Brushing Thinner
