FB MARKETPLACE MISTAKE! Part 3 - Back on the budget build today and fixing the separated interior and transom fiberglass skins. The repair is actually better than factory.
From the production facility, there was a straight piece of plywood spanning port to starboard but there's a 2 - 3 inch headspace. I'm not surprised with years of outboards clamping the transom that the void eventually gave way.
I used a slow cure (24 hour) 1:1 mix ratio epoxy I picked up from Amazon very cheap ($16 for a quart kit on sale). I thinned it out about 10% with Pettit Epoxy Thinner.
0:01 - Pre-repair inspection
1:18 - Filling with epoxy
3:05 - Clamping the fiberglass skins together
4:01 - After 24 hours, removing the clamps
