Today’s episode takes me into the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, as I explore Kelowna and its surrounding landscapes.

I start the morning high above the city at Myra Canyon, renting a bike and riding along one of the most unique trails in the region. Once part of a historic railway line carved into the mountains, the trail now offers incredible views across the canyon as it winds past trestle bridges and tunnels.

After the ride, I head back into Kelowna and stop at one of the local orchards to pick up fresh Okanagan fruit — a reminder of just how important agriculture is to this valley.

In the evening, I take a walk through downtown Kelowna and along the marina, soaking in the relaxed lakeside atmosphere as the sun begins to set.

The following morning, I cross the bridge over Okanagan Lake into West Kelowna, where I visit a local winery before taking a refreshing dip in the lake. From there, it’s time to leave the Okanagan behind and continue west toward Vancouver.

This episode captures a side of British Columbia defined by rail trails, orchards, vineyards, and lake life — a perfect pause before the road carries on.
