Episode 34 of The Great Canadian Road Trip 🇨🇦
This episode begins in Regina as I head north along Highway 11, also known as the Louis Riel Trail, making my way toward Saskatoon across the wide-open prairies of Saskatchewan.
The following morning starts just south of the city at the Berry Barn, where I stop for a classic prairie treat — Saskatoon berry pie served warm with ice cream.
From there, I explore Saskatoon’s downtown core, visiting the Delta Bessborough Hotel and spending time along the river at Kiwanis Memorial Park and Kinsmen Park. Crossing the South Saskatchewan River, I wander down Broadway Avenue and take in the atmosphere of the local Fringe Festival.
The journey then continues west as I leave Saskatoon behind, driving toward Edmonton with a stop at the Saskatchewan–Alberta border in Lloydminster, capturing sweeping prairie landscapes and epic drone footage along the way.
