Episode 36 of The Great Canadian Road Trip 🇨🇦
This episode begins in downtown Calgary, where I start the day at the Bow Building and take in Wonderland — the iconic public art installation watching over the city’s core.
From there, I make my way to the Calgary Tower, diving into its history and legacy while comparing it to Toronto’s CN Tower — two symbols of ambition from different eras of Canadian growth.
Continuing on foot through downtown, the journey shifts toward the river. I rent a bike and ride along Calgary’s extensive Bow River pathway system, crossing the striking Peace Bridge and taking in the city from a slower, more grounded perspective.
The day winds down in Kensington Village, one of Calgary’s most vibrant inner-city neighborhoods, where I explore local shops and restaurants before hopping on the CTrain back downtown.
It’s a relaxed, street-level look at Calgary — a city shaped by energy, movement, and life along the Bow.
