He Will Not Leave Us | Changed Through Jesus Christ

Описание: Joji was blessed with parents who taught him the gospel of Jesus Christ. His grandfather showed him how to courageously pursue the truth and ask Heavenly Father for answers. And as Joji’s friends prepared to pursue university education, he had the courage to prepare to serve a mission for the Lord.

Life is full of fantastic adventures. So many of them add quality and enjoyment to our lives. But often the Lord will send us opportunities to do His will that interrupt our personal pursuits.

That’s what sacrifice is—to surrender something we care about for something of greater worth. Sacrifice is trusting our Heavenly Father, believing that He knows and sees all things and that He has our best interest in mind, trusting that He can make more of us here and in eternity than we ever could by ourselves. He intends to make our childlike offerings into mighty treasures, for ourselves and for all those of His children we are blessed to serve each day.

It’s scary, loosening our grip on something we want, placing it into the Lord’s hands, and taking a step into the unknown. But whatever transpires thereafter, He will not leave us. He will be there to see us through it. He will be there to prosper our efforts and steady our feet. He will be there to reward our labors. And when our work is finished here on earth, He will be there to welcome us into His kingdom with open arms.

The next time a request from Jesus Christ seems to interrupt your plans, notice the moment. Recognize the choice laid out before you as an opportunity to practice the law of sacrifice. And before your natural instincts have a chance to resist, cheerfully step forward and serve the One who gave everything for you.
