In this lesson, we begin setting up the IK system for the leg in 3ds Max. You’ll learn how to create the main IK leg controller, link helper points, and apply position and orientation constraints. We’ll also add a custom knee rotation slider using the Attribute Holder. This is Part 1 of the IK Leg Rigging series, where we build the foundation before moving on to detailed foot controls and advanced setups.
