Delicious Oyakodon, with rice soaked in it's sauce. This is what we are cooking in the itaki today. Yes we need to pause the cooking process in order to add the egg and avoid overcooking it but it is totally worth the effort. The onion cooked in the sauce is totally sweet and flavorful. I couldn't stop myself from gobbling it up. It was that good. If you prefer your eggs to be more cooked, add the egg a little earlier to let it cook longer. I like mine a little runny. Ingredient:
50g - onion
150g - chicken thigh
1 - egg
drizzle - sesame oil
1/3 cup - rice
1/4 cup - water (rice)
1/3 cup - water (itaki)
Sauce:
1 Tbsp - dark soy sauce
1 Tbsp - mirin
1 Tbsp - sugar
1/4 tsp - dashi powder
1 Tbsp - water
