In this presentation, Professor Schuwirth describes a variety of approaches to determining the reliability of individual assessments. Professor Schuwirth explains that while the traditional structured standardisation and psychometric methods remain relevant, there are merits to basing assessment reliability on the credibility and reliability of human judgements, and combining qualitative and quantitative information to form a complete picture of competence.
