If there is one thing the gun control activist have done well, that is the control the language and the terminology of gun control. I always wondered where did the terms "assault weapon" and "assault rifle" come from. I found one reference back in World War II Germany. The more contemporary use of assault weapon and assault rifle came about in the late 1980's after a mass shooting in Stockton, California.

We need to do a better job at educating the public about guns, our gun rights, and about self-defense. This is the only way I see to gain control of the conversations, well that and it helps to finally have a positive court opinion to rely upon.

Unfortunately, we live in a society with complex and often difficult to understand laws and regulations. I explain complex legal terms and concepts in ordinary language.
