Flying in the face of the Supreme Court's opinion in NYSRPA v. Bruen, the State of New York and it's Governor Kathy Hochul, are doubling down on concealed carry. New York passed the Concealed Carry Improvement Act which expends the background process, training requirements, and sensitive places designations. In short, the Act does nothing to improve the concealed carry process. The process is now more subjective and difficult then ever before.

In this video, I will go over the training requirements recently published by the New York State Police.

The Concealed Carry Improvement Act goes into effect on September 1st, 2022. There was a hearing last week on the preliminary injunction and the judge told the parties he would have a ruling prior to the implementation of the Act.

Unfortunately, we live in a society with complex and often difficult to understand laws and regulations. I explain complex legal terms and concepts in ordinary language.
