The first post NYSRPA v. Bruen Assault Weapons Ban case has been enjoined in Colorado. To my knowledge, this is the first case since the Supreme Court handed down their landmark decision in New York Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen. Superior, Colorado enacted an Assault Weapons Ban on June 7th, 2022. On July 7th, 2022, the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, the National Association for Gun Rights, and Charles Walker filed suit against the Town of Superior, Colorado and Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle. On July 22nd, 2022, Federal Judge Raymond Moore issued a Temporary Restraining Order prohibiting the enforcement of the Town of Superior's Assault Weapons Ban.

Unfortunately, we live in a society with complex and often difficult to understand laws and regulations. I explain complex legal terms and concepts in ordinary language.
