So many of us with bipolar disorder are experts at masking—pretending we're fine when we’re actually having symptoms or even pretending that we don’t have bipolar at all.
Whether it's at work, with friends, around family, or at the grocery store, we push through and hide the symptoms for all sorts of reasons.
I mask all the time. I hate it but I also like having the option.
In this video, I share what masking looks and feels like from the inside, why we do it, and how exhausting it can be. If you've ever felt like you're wearing a mask just to get through the day, you're not alone.
