Today’s morning in Lahaul and Spiti felt absolutely magical. I woke up to a white winter wonderland — thick layers of snow covering rooftops, massive snow piles stacked higher than shops, and frozen roads shining under the morning light. The first thing I did was show you the breathtaking outside view. Everywhere I looked — just pure white beauty.
After that, I went to start my vehicle in extreme cold conditions… and thankfully, it started in the very first crank! In this weather, that moment itself feels like a victory. Around the market area, I noticed scooter stands frozen solid, diesel vehicles fully covered to protect their engines, and ice layers built up everywhere.
Once ready, we headed out for a beautiful yet risky snow drive along the Chandra River. The roads were covered with black ice, and on both sides there were 3–4 feet high snow walls. We even spotted Himalayan Ibex high up on the mountains — an unforgettable wildlife moment in this frozen desert.
Driving further, we encountered fallen rocks, melting glacier water flowing directly into the Chandra River, and some seriously tricky off-road patches. At one point, we moved slightly off the main road for an extreme 4x4 experience. One of my friend’s vehicles got stuck briefly while turning, but with teamwork, we managed to recover and return safely.
Further ahead, we reached a stunning wooden bridge surrounded by snow with the river flowing beneath — a place that truly felt like heaven. I also played in deep snow for the first time this season, jumping and enjoying those simple but priceless winter moments.
In the evening, after a long and tiring day of driving and struggling through snow, I set up my projector on the vehicle in the middle of the snowy surroundings. It took effort in freezing conditions, but watching a vlog under the open sky, surrounded by snow, felt unreal. That peaceful cinematic moment after an extreme day made everything worth it.
Camping is currently not allowed in this area, so I had to return and park back. Meanwhile, my 100-day journey towards 100,000 subscribers is almost complete. I waited till 1 AM hoping to hit the milestone, but we were still 40 subscribers short. Hopefully, in the next vlog, we celebrate 100K together!
This journey is not just about snow drives — it’s about passion, consistency, and chasing dreams in the harshest conditions.
Stay tuned for the next episode of this extreme Himalayan adventure.
