Oh my Lord whose body is smeared with ashes and as luminescent as the flames! We are your staunch devotees who live to the fullest, praising you as the Consort of a woman having beautiful dark eyes with kohl and a slender waist. As we praise your glorious feet and swim across the rippling waters of this wavy tank, please protect us from fatigue.

Summary:
The friends gather in the courtyard of this lady and sing His praise to wake her up. In the first two lines of this Pasuram, Andal highlights the characteristics of the faultless cattle men.

Translation:
Oh Golden Tendril of the flawless Yadhu clan, which milks herds of cows and fights against enemies causing their defeat, Oh lass with breasts like the hood of a snake and beauty like that of a forest peacock , wake up and come! When all your friends have entered your courtyard and begun singing the praise of the Lord whose complexion is that of dark clouds, how can you not move or talk and remain in deep trance, Oh rich lady?
