Come and join fourteen people, nine rigs, and six dogs as we start our adventure on the Ozark Overland Adventure Trail (day one). This is the Ozarks like you may never have seen it before: almost dry! Although we expected repeated water crossings, you could count the total number of wet crossings on our first day on one hand. Thankfully, there are plenty of great points of interest (like the Nars and Six Finger Falls) as well as significant mudholes and rock obstacles to make the drive that much more challenging and enjoyable, even with dry river beds and washes a plenty. Thanks to Tri State Overland for hosting and leading this trip - traveling with a company of other like minded travelers always improves the drive!
At the time this video was uploaded, the official word had not yet come back on the injury to Krys' foot, but the damage has now been verified as six broken bones, two joints that may be dislocated and one torn tendon which means a rapid foot surgery followed by six or eight weeks on crutches in a cast. Bill might have to enjoy overlanding on his own for a few months until she is back on her feet, literally.
