On-Board PVL Train

Rolling Stock: Alstom = Metro-North Commuter Railroad Comet V Cab Car #6705 and Coach Cars. GM EMD = MNCR GP40FH-2 Locomotive #4902.

Please excuse me saying, "Shoving" in the very beginning of the window. I was just keeping a note for myself of the cab car and locomotive information for editing. I thought I erased that portion out of the video completely, but it looks like I left a small snippet. Oh well.

Alrighty, y'all, you guys may remember that last March, I had uploaded a video featuring my ride from Hoboken Terminal all the way to New Bridge Landing via Train #1651, which bypassed three station stops. Since I had parked at Wood-Ridge station because I left home late, I had to take the train back because the walk there was over 6 miles long. The cool thing about this trainset is that despite it running on the Pascack Valley Line, it is a pure Metro-North trainset, engine included, because it was temporarily moved from the Port Jervis rotation pool, which normally receives that equipment.

For the most part, since the Pascack Valley Line does not run in remote areas, train speeds do not exceed 50 mph and tend to maintain speeds between 35-40 mph, which is not the greatest, but it is to ensure the safety of individuals in a populated area. The fact that it was raining did not make things better, considering that Comet V rail cars tend to have leaky roofs when it rains, even if it is light.

At the end, at 18:15, you guys can hear the Comet V door chime as I was exiting. I guess the conductors didn't want to waste too much time remaining halted at Wood-Ridge station. If only they had opened up the doors in the vestibule directly behind the cab car, I would have exited quicker.
