🛤️About the Hudson Line:
The Hudson Line is one of Metro-North Railroad’s three main lines and follows the east bank of the Hudson River for much of its route. Originally part of the New York Central Railroad, it dates back to the mid-1800s and is a key segment of the famed “Water Level Route” connecting New York City to Chicago. Today, it serves commuters traveling between Manhattan and points north in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties and inter-city Amtrak services to Albany, Canada, Vermont, and Chicago.

🚆 About the Metro-North M3A:
The M3A is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train built in the mid-1980s by Budd/Transit America for Metro-North Railroad. Thanks to Metro-North's impeccable maintenance program, the M3As have served reliably for decades. One notable, beloved feature of these cars is the passenger-accessible front window, offering a rare forward-facing view of the tracks ahead. While their days are numbered as Metro-North moves forward to order replacement rolling stock, the M3As will continue to provide reliable service for at least a few more years.
