In this video, I walk through a Taichung night market before heading to my hostel, then spend the next two days renting YouBike and riding along Taichung’s riverside paths. Including golden hour cycling on backroads until nightfall beneath the train tracks. The 3rd day I through Houfeng Bikeway.

Taichung is Taiwan’s second-largest city and developed rapidly during the Japanese colonial period (1895–1945), when much of its urban planning and rail infrastructure was built. Today, it’s known for wide boulevards, parks, bike paths, and a slower pace compared to Taipei.
