Enjoy this gentle, yoga-inspired Nia dance break — a mindful, somatic movement practice to calm the nervous system and reconnect with your body.
A short movement pause to soften tension and support ease, balance and wellbeing.

Join me in my Brisbane backyard studio to breathe, stretch, soften and release through this gentle Nia cool-down sequence 🌿

Like a moving meditation, this practice invites you to slow down and listen deeply. We begin with Nia’s mindful listening practice of RAW — relaxed body, alert mind, waiting spirit — before flowing into gentle, whole-body movement.

Nia is about tuning IN to your body and moving in ways that feel good to YOU. It blends elements of dance, mindfulness, yoga and martial arts into a holistic movement practice that supports:
• flexibility, mobility and balance
• calming the nervous system
• releasing stuck stress and tension
• body–brain fitness and mental wellbeing

Just a few minutes of mindful movement can ease anxiety, lift mood and help you reconnect with a sense of inner calm and joy.

💛 About Me

I’m Sophie Marsh, and my passion is supporting women to come home to their bodies and move through life’s challenges with greater ease, confidence and joy.

With over 25 years’ experience in mind–body movement and education, I’m a First Degree Black Belt Nia teacher, a trauma-sensitive mindfulness leader, and a Nia International Faculty Trainer, based in Australia.

As I dance through my 50s with my body’s changing needs, I’m deeply grateful for Nia as a pleasurable, sustainable self-care practice for body–mind–spirit health and wellbeing.

I offer online and in-person classes, workshops, retreats, and Nia Art of Sensation (White Belt) Training.
