Today we tackle the glazed seafood. The Glazed Seafood is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a curative item that restores Link's health with some Heart Containers. Link can prepare it by cooking with any fish, crab or snail and Courser Bee Honey in a pot.

Just like it says in game this recipe is so good because it's "A seafood dish that you can actually wolf down whole!"


Ingredients
1 .5lb salmon fillet
⅓ c. honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
¼ c. low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp ground ginger
5-10 fresh thyme leaves
salt and ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 lemon wedges

First in a small saucepan on medium high heat add in the butter, brown sugar and honey. Mix well and cook until small bubbles form. Set aside to cool. As it’s cooling stir in the ginger, lemon juice, and soy sauce. Mix well till everything is incorporated.

Next, take out your salmon from your fridge and make sure you dry it off with a towel. If you cook salmon that is damp and has excess moister it will drop the temperature around the area it’s cooking in and then cook unevenly.

Grab and bunch the salmon together with your fingers and create slits halfway through the salmon. This will prevent the fish from curling up in the pan. Season the salmon with some salt and pepper, make sure you season inside the grooves that you have cut also. After seasoning add in your Thyme leaves.

In a saucepan, heat it to med-high heat and add in 1 tbsp of olive oil. Right before the pan starts to smoke add in the salmon skin side down (If it has skin, if not the side that the skin was on). We want to make sure the pan is nice and hot before adding in the salmon to prevent the salmon creating a chemical bond with the pan that will cause it to stick. Do not move the fish at all. Cook it for 5-6 min, till 1/3 of the salmon is cooked. You will see it slowly change color from the bottom slowly making its way up. Glaze the top of the salmon with a bit of the honey glaze. After, flip the salmon add the garlic and cook for 1 min till the garlic is fragrant. Season this side of the salmon with some salt and pepper. Once a minute has passed add in the honey glaze and cook till it’s reduced 1/3 of the way. This should take 4-5 min. During this time make sure you baste the salmon with the glaze in the pan. Once cooked remove.

Grab a plate and ladle a generous amount of glaze down. Place the salmon on top of the glaze and then ladle some more glaze on top.

After that, you are done! Your glazed seafood is ready to be served! Dig in
