Today we tackle the Elixir Soup from Wind Waker. With the help of lvl 1 chef (https://www.level1chef.com/) and my grandmother, we have created a version you can make at home!

Elixir Soup is an item from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. A soup made by Link's Grandma, it will fully heal Link's health and magic if he drinks it. In addition, it will double his attack strength, making Link's sword glow, until he takes damage. If he has the Magic Armor equipped, his sword will still glow when he is attacked, as long as he has sufficient magic or Rupees. When obtained, two servings of Elixir Soup are stored inside a bottle.

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp Spanish Olive oil
1/2 pound of chorizo
1 medium onion
2 cloves of garlic
2 Tbsp cooking sherry
8 cups of chicken stock
4 cups of fresh corn kernels
salt and pepper to taste
4 ripe pears
1 Tbsp ginger
1 cup coconut milk
4 Tbsp corn starch
1 can of creamed corn
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1½ tsp lime juice
½ Tbsp curry
1 tsp garlic powder

First add olive oil to the pot. Heat on med-high then add in the Chorizo. After chorizo starts to cook add the onion, then garlic.
Once onions are translucent and chorizo starts to brown deglaze with Sherry, add stock, add corn and cook till it simmers for 5 min. In a small pot add in coconut milk and pears on med heat and cook till pears are soft. Break down and puree. Add cornstarch to a bowl with cold water to make it slurry. After the soup simmers add the puree and cornstarch mix into the soup. Turn heat to high and bring it to a boil to thicken, add remaining ingredients. Cook for 5-10 more min.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is the tenth main installment of The Legend of Zelda series. It is the first Zelda game for the Nintendo GameCube, and was released in Japan on December 13, 2002, in Canada and the United States on March 24, 2003, in South Korea on April 16, 2003, in Europe on May 3, 2003 and in Australia on May 7, 2003.

The Wind Waker is notable for being the first game in the series to employ cel-shading, a lighting and texturing technique that results in the game having a cartoon-like appearance. It also differentiates itself from other Zelda games with its massive overworld, the Great Sea (which may be the largest overworld of any Zelda game), which must be explored using a boat, the King of Red Lions. It is an indirect sequel to Ocarina of Time,[6] taking place several hundred years after the events of the previous games.[7]

Although the sea-faring gameplay and cartoon-like graphics were a point of critique for some, The Wind Waker was in the end the fourth best-selling GameCube game of all time.[8] However, it should be noted that pre-orders of the game were significantly boosted by the inclusion of a pre-order bonus disc, which features Ocarina of Time and Master Quest. Master Quest is an altered port of the original Ocarina game, with partially re-designed, more difficult dungeons.

In 2007, a direct sequel to The Wind Waker, entitled Phantom Hourglass, was released on the Nintendo DS.

In the fall of 2013, a remaster of the game was released for the Wii U console, with enhanced graphics and gameplay in a fashion similar to Ocarina of Time 3D.
