Presenter: Erin Parker, PANDA
This is one of the most commonly heard statements PANDA staff receive from ABE teachers. Sometimes the answer is yes, but identifying a learning disability is often complex. In this session, participants will explore facts and common misconceptions about learning disabilities and how they differ from other learning challenges. We’ll also look at why identifying learning disabilities can be especially complicated for students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Participants will leave with practical instructional strategies they can use to support all learners in their classrooms.
