I wasn’t jumping on the FRT Bandwagon, having shot a lot of actual full-auto over the years… but, my friends at Cloak Industries handed me one of the Disruptor FRTs while I was at SHOT Show. They’ve been shipping tons of these lately.
FRTs are a hot item right now because the Enhanced Semi-Automatic mode gives the experience of full auto fire to gun owners who can’t afford the Collectibles that remain on the market. After the unfair 1986 over regulation that crushed the availability of any new automatic firearms for civilian ownership. Prices on the guns already in responsible gun owner hands have gotten ridiculous. FRTs are addressing the affordability issue. Of course, you still have to feed the firearm…
But, the Cloak team was right… shooting this thing put a smile on my face and I am 100% certain that I will be bringing it to the range to let others shoot pretty often. I chose to put my first FRT into my first AR… a Colt Sporter that I bought in 1994. As you can see in the video, it ran great!
