Hello, I'm here once again to defend a unit's viability. Aura Cynthia has been subject to some harsh criticism which I think is unwarranted.
A good way to describe Aura Cynthia is... clunky, but we have been through this exact thing before. SS Morty got shat on because his buffing kit was subpar in theory. In practice, you can address his issues on teambuilding. If you do that what you are left with are his advantages.
Cynthia is similar. She cannot buff Atk/Sp.Atk, but she can buff Crit. Cynthia is so incredibly tanky you never have to worry about your survival. Cynthia's inability to quad-queue can be addressed with ramping or Adrenaline 1 as a Lucky Skill. If you cannot run hyper offense, B Aura Sphere's stacks let you catch up in damage. Cynthia's gauge is also solid given her gauge acceleration and 1 bar spam.

[0:56] - Grand Entry 2
MAX bombing is especially effective with a 6*EX Support buff, which is what Cynthia is all about. Dojo Gloria can maximize her Atk and ramp at the same time. Combined with Cynthia's Head Start 1 it results in a ramp. The problem is that Gloria plays too fast for Cynthia's Crit pace, so I had to bring Crit support.
A lot of people are using situations like this to criticize Cynthia. "She's not a good Support if you have to bring a second Support" ??. It's like running SS Morty + Lillie to support SS Red... it's a demand of the lineup.
If you bring Crit Support into Cynthia's lineups you can humor Grand Entry 2 as a Lucky Skill. As a Mega Evolving sync pair, Cynthia activates entry passives again upon Mega Evolution. +4 Sp.Atk is enough oomf to fuel Tough Cookie. Cynthia can act as DPS and set-up denials, which is especially helpful if you whiff the MAX Knuckle Crit. Grand Entry 2 is admittedly gimmicky but I think this is as practical as Striker Cynthia gets.
[2:56] - Budgety DPS
This is more or less what DeNA envisioned when they designed Cynthia. Pair her with 2 self-sufficient Strikers and Cynthia pumps steroids into them. Cynthia aids set-up with Vacuum Wave Focus Group 9, which sync pairs like Korrina greatly appreciate. Bruno himself just needs +2 Crit to accommodate Cross Chop, so he can play for Trainer Move MPR 3 and Super Preparation 4 to fish for a big attack.
[4:50] - Nuking with Sync Acceleration
It's possible to nuke with Cynthia's entry Zone, but you need an exceptionally aggressive Striker and sync acceleration to make it work. My Diantha is too uninvested to one shot center, so I needed an extra move to KO Glacia. Typically I would do Turn 2 denial but I wanted Cloyster to attack me for time and to unlock B Aura Sphere.
In this example I used the Half Ally HP option for squishier enemies. In all these fights I could've run that option because Cynthia's bulk is just that good, but I prefer full HP in case people copy my options. It's safer.
[6:35] - Nuking without Sync Acceleration
If you don't have Head Start 1 on everything you can play for a traditional nuke with fast animations. Basically you want to use buffs and nothing but buffs. That way you'll catch-up to the Zone timer first sync. I also used a Time Trial trick by casting Potion on a character with full-health to skip the Potion animation entirely. With a good cycle you can even get a move under Fighting Zone.
[8:16] - Off-Type DPS
Cynthia's gauge is actually solid enough to dual strike. Once you hit Sync Free-For-All and B Aura Sphere you can spam liberally. Pre-sync it can get dizzy, so I brought 🅱️uzma and Bea to demonstrate how to handle it. And their gauge sucks. No one is stopping you from running the forbidden 6 bars. Cynthia can handle high enemy damage without breaking a sweat. If you give Cynthia Speedy Entry 2 she can anchor for teams like this much more easily.
[10:24] - Stonksgaleo
Solgaleo's viability skyrocketed with Cynthia. Lucian makes for a cohesive third to boost Brainteaser and Sinnoh Flag Bearer. Cynthia and Lucian with Head Start 1 also address Cynthia's quad-queue issues. The 40 cookies I spent on Lucian finally pay off today.
[12:45] - Generalist Support
I think running Cynthia without Fighting-types is silly, but Cynthia is such a solid Support you can get a lot of mileage beyond those archetypes. The synergies here are:
Cynthia maximizes Tough Cookie and Crit
Team Fist Bump 3 combats recoil
Vacuum Wave Numbing Blow shuts down Healthy Advantage
Head Start 1 + Flinch let's you pseudo-ramp
Volkner boosts Sinnoh Flag Bearer
[15:14] - More General Support
Head Start 2 Cynthia can ramp with Serena's Head Start 1. +2 Crit is enough to fuel Soften Up 1, and Lucas boosts Sinnoh Flag Bearer.
