Required tools: pencil, rolling metre, scissors, cutter, file, hacksaw, cutting tray

Step by step to the perfect insect screen
00:13 Measure the clear width dimension B by measuring the horizontal inside distance of the open window.

00:22 Measure the clear height H by measuring the vertical inside distance of the open window.
00:28 Measure the frame thickness X of the window frame using a tape measure.
00:32 Calculate the appropriate shortening dimension.
00:34 Calculate the dimension B minus 33 mm.
00:50 Calculate the dimension H minus 12 mm.
01:08 Calculate the frame dimension X plus 4 mm.
01:24 Mark the calculated measurements on the panels.
01:46 Shorten the profiles at the marked points with a hacksaw.
01:51 Deburr the interfaces.
01:54 Push the sealing brushes into the outer groove of the profiles.
02:02 Shorten them on both sides with an overhang of 30 mm.
02:06 Edge the suspension springs to the calculated dimension X using the enclosed tool.
02:30 Insert the suspension springs at the bottom and the suspension springs at the top into the recess provided in the corner connectors. Connect the corners with the profiles as well as the sealing brushes to form a frame.
02:47 Unroll the fabric over the frame.
02:52 Centre the handles in the vertical profiles and fix them with the clamping strips. Bend the handles slightly forward.
02:55 Fix the fabric in the groove of the horizontal profiles using clamping bars.
03:16 Shorten the excess fabric along the clamping bars.
03:23 The insect screen is now ready to be hung. Open your window and guide the insect screen frame outwards.
03:28 Guide the top hooking brackets into the frame from the outside. Pull the frame towards you and push it down so that the lower hook-in springs engage behind the frame.
