Title: The Secret Things Belong to God
As we grow in faith, we learn that we do not need to have every answer. Some things God has clearly revealed in His Word, and other things remain His secret (Deuteronomy 29:29). Wisdom is knowing the difference—being confident in what God has shown us and humble about what He has not.
We may not know what challenges lie ahead, but we know God will give us strength at the right time. We may not know when Jesus will return, but we know we must live faithfully and stay ready by loving God and others. We may not understand why suffering happens, but we know that God is sovereign and trustworthy.
Like Job, we learn that some things are too wonderful for us to understand. Yet we can rest in this truth: God is in control, and His purposes are good.
Faith is not about knowing everything—it is about trusting the One who knows everything.

Matthew 25:1 NKJV
1“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Jesus begins this parable with the words “At that time,” pointing us to the future and reminding us that His return is certain. He teaches about the kingdom of heaven to show us how we should live while we wait. Through the story of the ten virgins, Jesus calls His followers to a life of spiritual readiness.

The virgins represent believers who are waiting for Christ. Their lamps symbolize the light of God’s Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Just as lamps were necessary for travel at night, we need God’s truth to guide us through a dark world.

Going out to meet the bridegroom reflects our active expectation of Jesus’ return. In biblical times, the bridegroom’s arrival was joyful but unexpected, requiring readiness and alertness.

This parable reminds us that faith is not passive. We are called to stay spiritually prepared, walking closely with God and keeping our hearts filled with His Spirit.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I stand in awe of your greatness and magnificence and continually declare my trust in your faithfulness and unchanging nature. Lord, help me to continue to trust You with the things I don’t understand and walk faithfully in what You have revealed. Help me live each day ready for Your return, guided by Your Word and filled with Your Spirit. Amen.
