☕ About the Recipe:
This recipe is part of our Advanced (LVL 2) espresso drink series—designed for home baristas who want to level up their precision, efficiency, and consistency. We use real-time weight tracking, WDT, puck screen, and hands-free milk steaming guided by thermometer alerts. The drink is served in a 300 ml cup for a full, smooth latte experience.

☕ Ingredients:
• Coffee: 18–20 grams (pre-dosed, fresh beans—not frozen)
• Milk: 200 ml, whole (or preferred type)

⚙️ Tools:
• Breville/Sage Barista Express
• Built-in grinder
• Single-dose tubes (pre-dosed)
• RDT spray bottle (misting beans inside the tube)
• WDT tool
• Bottomless portafilter
• Included funnel
• Normcore tamping station & auto-level tamper
• Puck screen
• Scale (for shot weight)
• Milk pitcher (for 200 ml milk)
• Thermometer with 65°C alert
• 300 ml latte cup
• Knockbox

1️⃣ Steam the Milk First (Smart Workflow)
• Pour 200 ml of milk into your steaming pitcher.
• Place the thermometer in and set it to beep at 65°C.
• Set the pitcher hands-free on the drip tray and activate the steam wand.
• Let the milk steam on its own while you prepare the espresso.

2️⃣ Prepare the Espresso
• Mist the beans in the single-dose tube using RDT.
• Start the grinder (hot-start), then pour the beans into the hopper.
• Grind directly into the bottomless portafilter using the funnel.
• Use WDT for even distribution.
• Tamp with the Normcore auto-level tamper on a tamping station.
• Add a puck screen on top.
• Place your scale under the portafilter, start the shot, and stop when your desired weight is reached (typically 36–42g).
• Stir the espresso with a spoon for better flavor consistency.

3️⃣ Pour and Serve
• By now, your milk will be perfectly steamed and ready to pour.
• Swirl the pitcher, polish the milk, and pour over the espresso in your 300 ml cup.
• Enjoy a beautifully smooth, rich latte with no wasted time.

Pro Tip: Steaming the milk before extraction saves time and works especially well with machines like the Barista Express, which take a while to heat milk. This advanced workflow keeps everything smooth and efficient.
