Today we’re making a classic, the Old Pal! I went down a rabbit hole while researching this drink, and I learned that everyone is wrong about this drink's origin story. We’ll clarify the Old Pal’s history, give credit to the drink’s true creator, and workshop a recipe with a few different vermouths. I didn’t know this at the time of filming, but allegedly, using my choice of vermouth in this drink (and in the recipe below) transforms the cocktail into a new one called the Old GAL.
