✨ Healthy Evening Snack | Ari & Ellu Ariyunda ✨
Looking for a tasty and healthy evening snack? Try this traditional Kerala-style ariyunda made with rice (ari), sesame seeds (ellu), and jaggery. Packed with energy and goodness, it’s the perfect guilt-free snack for kids and adults alike!
🌿 Ingredients:
Raw rice (ari) – 1 cup
Sesame seeds (ellu) – ½ cup
Jaggery – 1/2 cup (grated or melted)
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp (optional, for flavor)
Ghee – 1 tsp (optional, for flavor)
👩🍳 Method:
Wash and dry the raw rice, then roast till golden brown. Powder it once cooled.
Dry roast sesame seeds until they splutter.
Melt jaggery with a little water and strain to remove impurities.
In a bowl, mix rice powder, roasted sesame seeds, grated coconut, and cardamom powder.
Pour the warm jaggery syrup and mix well.
Grease your palms with a little ghee and roll into small ladoos (ariyunda).
Let them set and enjoy this healthy evening snack!
