Ok so we’re reviewing our top 5 legal questions of the week. So let’s jump right into it.

First question of the week comes from Kenneth who watched my video on what happens if my dog bites someone

His own dog bit his own daughter. And his doctor who treated the daughter wanted him to report his own dog to animal control.

Super weird fact pattern.

• The thing I want to emphasize – every state is different. Every state has its own laws. So this doctor might be right legally.
• I personally wouldn’t turn my own dog in but legally speaking it may be another story
• Strict liab versus other states

Second question of the week comes from Niccolos who watched my video on motorcycle accident insurance.

He asked “Should i get collision? It jumps my insurance a lot”

• So glad he asked this question and we had a good convo online.
• People always say they have full coverage – never do
• Get what you can including…..
• And at least $100k in UM and UIM

Third question of the week comes from Dr. Embrey who watched my video on PTSD after a car accident.

She said “yes I had an accident and suffered injuries - now I'm very anxious in the car - I see everything as a potential accident just waiting to happen - sorry for my husband - I must be driving him crazy with my anxiety”

• I hear this a lot
• Bottom line from the personal injury perspective – if you want to recover for PTSD after an accident, treatment required
• Not in the records it does not exist

Fourth comment of the week came from Robert who watched my video on whose at fault for a rear end accident.

He said “I got rear ended by a semi. He was tailgating me in the left lane on I-35. Started raining traffic ahead was thinking and was hard to see. I slammed my breaks. Police wrote me a citation because they saw the dash cam and said I did for no reason”

• Wow – I’ve talked about it on this channel – rear end accidents that are the fault of the front car or front driver
• Does not happen very often but this is an example of where the person in the front car might be at fault for a rear end accident
• Most common situation where front driver is at fault is cut off situation

Fifth question of the week comes from Philly PA who watched my video on how long does it take to settle a car accident claim.

This is my comment of the week

He wrote “I ve been done treating 2 yrs and 4 months ago. This august makes 3 yrs. For a rear end accident. That the other guy caused”

• Major metro area like PA like CHI takes forever to get to trial. Patience.
• Not to mention covid has screwed everything up
• Last year a case that had been pending 5 years finally went to trial and resolved…..
