Описание: Like many women in her generation, Carol Truesdell gave up paid work after she had children. She focused her talents on volunteering for the Junior League until she joined Judy Justad to co-found CHART in Minneapolis to help women enter the job market. Hear Truesdell describe her path to developing CHART’s programs and her pride in how they increased women’s financial independence. CHART later merged with another organization to become WomenVenture, which continues to support women’s economic goals. Truesdell went on to lead the Pillsbury Foundation and, overcoming her male colleagues’ resistance, gave the Minnesota Women’s Foundation one of its first corporate grants.
