Описание: The MacArthur Foundation recognized Ai-jen Poo with one of their prestigious “genius awards” for redefining the model of labor organizing. Her efforts alongside domestic workers in New York led to the passage of the first state Domestic Workers’ Bill of Rights, which established labor protections and wage standards for some of the most vulnerable women in the United States. Here, Poo explains the origins of her passion for their issues and how she and domestic workers formulated the bill and got it passed by the New York State Legislature.
