Описание: Life is everywhere, but not all life is thriving. Many plants and wildlife are on the brink of extinction, including the Blackland Prairie eco-region. Trevor Burke is working to protect this critically endangered environment and passionately encourages us to preserve our world for future generations. Trevor Burke’s exuberant passion for the environment truly exemplifies this environmental slogan. Although only a Junior at St. Mark’s School of Texas, Trevor’s environmental efforts have had far-reaching effects. He was recently honored in Salt Lake City as one of three National Youth Finalists for the 2017 Outdoor Inspiration Award sponsored by the Outdoor Retailer Association.He currently serves on the National Youth Leadership Council of EarthEcho International, a nonprofit organization founded in honor of legendary explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau on the belief that youth have the power to change our planet. Trevor also serves as the National Conservation Chair for the National Society of the Children of the American Revolutionwhere he is responsible for planning and promoting conservation programs for local societies across the United States. In his spare time, Trevor enjoys Boy Scouts and science-related activities. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
