Bakery style ALMOND CAKE | Soft and moist Easy Almond Cake

Описание: An old-school bakery-style almond cake is a nostalgic treat that brings back the charm of simpler times. Made with classic ingredients like real butter, ground almonds, and a hint of vanilla, it has a tender crumb, a golden crust, and a rich, nutty flavor that feels both comforting and indulgent. Often topped with a light dusting of powdered sugar or slivered almonds, this cake isn’t about flashy decorations—it’s about honest, time-tested flavor. Each bite feels like it came straight from a neighborhood bakery where everything is made by hand, with heart.

RECIPE OF ALMOND CAKE:

Butter: 70g ( 6 tablespoons)
Oil: 1/2 cup (100ml)
Sugar: 3/4 cup (150g)
Eggs: 3
Buttermilk: 1/2 cup ( milk: 1/2 cup + 1 teaspoon vinegar)
Flour: 1 cup
Baking powder: 1 + 1/2 teaspoon
Vanilla essence: 1 teaspoon
Almond essence: 1/4 teaspoon
Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
Finely chopped almonds : 1/2 cup

For baking pan preparation:

Butter : 2 tablespoons
Sliced almonds: 1/4 cup

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Take an 8” round baking pan and grease with oil. Put a baking paper inside and generously apply butter. Fill the bottom with sliced almonds and keep it in fridge until the batter is being prepared.
2. Beat the butter , oil and sugar until well combined.
3. Add the eggs and beat for another minute.
4. Add vanilla essence, almond essence and buttermilk.
5. Sift the dry ingredients and mix well.
6. Add the chopped almonds and fold gently.
7. Pour into the prepared baking pan and bake at 160C for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
8. Take jam of any flavour and dilute with water.
9. Apply on freshly baked cake and serve.
