In this video we go over how to replace the rear tail lamp wiring harness connector on GM old body style (OBS) era trucks and SUVs. The connector, and thus the repair, is the same for either the drivers or passenger side. The technique shown will be to replace the Delphi / Aptiv 5F Metri-Pack 280 series connector by de-pinning & re-pinning the terminals of the wiring harness connector.
The truck illustrated is a 1998 Chevrolet K2500 Cheyenne, but the procedure and part(s) I share with you will be the same for any 1988 thru 2002 GMT400 generation OBS truck or SUV. So Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC, and Holden for Blazer, Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Silverado, Cheyenne, Escalade, Sierra, and W/T across C1500, K1500, C2500, K2500, C3500, C3500HD, and K3500 weight ratings.
