DIY: Crazy fit-and-flare design, Part 1. How to make a skirt with the half-circle gores.

We've already made an 8-gore skirt, a spiral fit-and-flare skirt, a 12-gore skirt with the flare bottom and a long 12-gore skirt with the wide flare at the back.
Today we are going to talk about the crazy fit-and-flare design. When I say crazy fit-and-flare I mean that it's very huge.
Those of you who don't like the word crazy can say huge, but I prefer to call it crazy.
Today I'll design a 6-gore skirt for myself. 17 cm from the waist will be straight, and then will start the flare. The flare will be half-circle.
Now imagine we have 6 half-cirle gores. The skirt would be of a 3-circle shape – it will take a lot of fabric. Even though such skirts are very wide, they don't make me look fat, because they are straight at the hips.
I've showed you 4 types of the fit-and-flare skirts. We were designing them using the basic pattern, which had different measurements at the front and at the back.
In this video I'll show you how to make gores and to work with such a huge flare.
You can make it less wide. It will still be crazy, but not as crazy as mine.
Guys, do not forget to check everything.
When we design all the gores and unfold the graph paper, we’ll have a crazy fit-and-flare.
I cut the gores with the over-measure for the seams, in order not to forget to do it later.
Do not forget that we can’t overcast the edges of the fit-and-flare skirts. Process them with an overlock or the rolled seam.
Nowadays a lot of young girls believe that the less fabric they put on, the more attractive they are. Don’t be afraid of the full skirts. Put a tight blouse and a full skirt on. You will look much more attractive than when you’re almost naked.
Make any flare you want from the hips. You can combine the fabrics, the designs – use your imagination.
