One of our favorite noodles for breakfast in Penang is rice noodle soup or as locals call it, koay teow th'ng. There are 2 or 3 different kinds of soup, namely duck, old chicken (lao ji) or pork. The flavor of duck broth is particularly popular here and there are many stalls in almost every kopitiam selling a version of this noodle soup.
For this video we go around Penang island and also the mainland for some good KTT, namely Xin He Cafe 啊矮鸭肉面 at Anson Road, Restoran Xin Feng in Taman Inderawasih and Kedai Kopi Xiao Shi 小石咖啡店 in Georgetown near Komtar. 3 stalls, each with their special taste.
