Here, I am sharing with you a very healthy oats recipe, Instant Oats Idli. These oats idlis are made without any fermentation. Its an instant recipe though very tasty & healthy.
I have added onion, grated carrots and some spices to oats and mixed every thing with curd to make a thick batter. The idlis came out well and super soft without any raising agent like eno & soda.
You can pair these idlis with sambhar and chutney of your choice. I have also shared onion chutney recipe that can be made in just a few minutes. It is an ideal recipe for healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner or snacks. It is packed with protein, fiber and veggies.

Ingredients for Oats Idli:
1.5 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1.25 cup curd/yogurt
1 cup grated carrot
1 onion finely chopped
1 tbsp. cold pressed coconut oil
1 tsp. urad daal
1 tsp. channa daal
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
1 green chili finely chopped
10 - 12 curry leaves
1 tbsp. white sesame seeds
2 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste
Ingredients for Onion Chutney:
2 onion roughly chopped
1 tbsp. cold pressed peanut oil
1 tsp. urad daal
1 tsp. channa daal
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
1 tbsp. raw peanuts
1/2 tsp. jaggery powder
1 tsp. tamarind pulp or lemon juice or dry mango powder
2 green chili
1 tsp. degi mirch powder
salt to taste
10 - 12 curry leaves
