00:00 – INTRO* Finally we arrived to the West Coast of the USA. Today, let’s explore a beautiful city of Kirkland located in Washington State. So stay tuned only on ETA.

00:58 – The building right in front is the back side of the Heritage Hall and Centennial Gardens where you can reserve private meetings, events, and even weddings. Did you know that this is also the First Church of Christ Scientist and is the oldest remaining church building in Kirkland? The building was built in 1922 in the neoclassical design with a colonnaded Greek Temple portico.

02:16 – Kirkland is located directly east of Seattle across the Lake Washington and is about 11 miles drive by car. Kirkland, founded in 1888 has a population of almost 100,000 people as of 2021 making it the 10th largest city in Washington State with Seattle being the largest. With lots of restaurants, outdoor coffee shops, and being located right on the water, Kirkland makes it for a pleasant and relaxing family atmosphere.

04:25 – In front is the Kirkland Marina Boat Launch where you will see people launching their boats and jet skis to enjoy the beautiful Washington especially in the Summer months. Yeah summers are beautiful here!

04:37 – This gazebo is the Marina Park Pavilion that you can also rent for any special occasions like private parties, ceremonies, and receptions.

06:08 – This cozy and sandy beach is the Marina Park Public Beach. You will see a lot of people gather here especially during the summer to enjoy the atmosphere, have a picnic, and lounge. There is also an Argosy Cruise which you can take around the lake. By the way, this is a great spot to watch fireworks on 4th of July.

06:41 – Did you know that the city of Kirkland is the original home to Seattle Seahawks? Also, the warehouse Costco used to have their headquarters in Kirkland until moved to a neighboring city of Issaquah. Regardless, you will still see the “Kirkland Signature” brand today.

08:00 – This is the Kirkland City Dock which is a transient moorage where you can dock your boat for up to 5 days on a first come, first serve basis.

08:13 – I usually see a lot of different sized boats here with different flags. Typically on a nice day people would have dinner and parties on their boats even while docked.
