Walking the South West Coast Path | 7. Clovelly to Hartland Quay

Описание: Episode 7 takes me along one of the most dramatic and uplifting stretches of the South West Coast Path, from the beautiful fishing village of Clovelly to the rugged cliffs of Hartland Quay. 10.5 miles of pure coastal magic.

☀️ I arrived in Clovelly the evening before to catch the sunset over this stunning, historic village, something I’d missed 11 weeks earlier after limping into town exhausted at the end of my last walk. This time, I made it count, finishing the evening with a 0% ale and a burger at the Red Lion before turning in for the night.

🌅 Setting off at 7:30am, the sunrise to my right lit up the Hartland Peninsula in golden light. Perfect autumn weather of blue skies, gentle breeze, and warm sunshine made this the ideal day for flying the drone. With record flights and breathtaking footage of fields, waterfalls, and hidden coves, I finally felt like I’d captured the true beauty of the path.

🌊 As I rounded Hartland Point, the coastline grew even more awe-inspiring. The outgoing tide revealed sculpted rock formations and endless views that took my breath away. At one point, I even said aloud: “I’m having the time of my life.”

And behind that moment lies a deeper story. After weeks of struggling with anxiety and working hard on my mental health, this walk marked a real turning point.

It reminded me exactly why I started this journey in the first place.
